FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toledo, Ohio, June 22, 2026 — Bergquist Inc., one of the most established propane equipment distributors in the United States, today announced a strategic partnership with EC POWER Inc., a global high-efficiency micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP) systems provider, to accelerate deployment of micro-CHP solutions nationwide.

The partnership was created in response to growing U.S. demand for on-site power generation, lower energy costs, and grid resilience, particularly in commercial, institutional, and propane-served markets. Bergquist will serve as a national distributor of EC POWER’s XRGI® 25 micro-CHP system and will install two XRGI® 25 systems in its own facilities for demo and training purposes. By partnering with EC POWER, Bergquist is expanding its role from equipment distribution into technical leadership and structured market development for micro‑CHP. This will enable propane dealers to participate in the growing on‑site power market without assuming engineering or execution risk while staying true to the long‑term, relationship‑driven values of a family‑owned enterprise.

“As the propane industry evolves, our customers are asking us to help them solve energy challenges that require proven, scalable technology supported by deep engineering expertise,” said Lauren Clark, President and CEO of Bergquist, Inc. “EC POWER brings decades of real‑world micro‑CHP experience and a product platform that aligns naturally with propane‑served markets. Just as importantly, they understand that CHP will not scale in the U.S. without a strong enablement model around dealers, training, and lifecycle support.”

Propane dealers occupy a unique position in the U.S. energy landscape, serving remote and grid-constrained regions, maintaining long-term customer relationships, and supporting heating and standby generation. The XRGI® 25 is well‑suited for U.S. commercial and institutional customers but requires trusted relationships, dealer alignment, technical competence, and a repeatable sales and delivery model. This partnership leverages Bergquist’s existing propane dealer relationships to dramatically reduce customer acquisition friction and accelerate adoption.

“Bergquist is not treating micro‑CHP as a product they hand off to the market—they are actively building the technical, organizational, and training capabilities required to support dealers and customers throughout the entire project lifecycle,” said Anders Thorsen, CEO of EC POWER Inc. “That commitment allows us to scale responsibly, maintaining performance, quality, and customer confidence as volume grows. Together, we are combining proven technology with a purpose‑built go‑to‑market engine that removes traditional barriers to CHP adoption and opens a large, underserved segment of the U.S. energy market.”

To underscore its commitment to the new power generation market, Bergquist appointed Amy Berg to lead its newly formed Marketer Growth Solutions (MGS) team. The MGS team will guide propane marketers as they evolve into on-site energy providers by offering expert support and technical assistance for products like the XRGI® 25 micro-CHP unit.

“More than 30 years ago, EC POWER was founded on the belief that efficient, decentralized energy could play a meaningful role in the future energy landscape,” said Bjarne Bogner, Founder & CEO of EC POWER A/S. “Seeing that vision now extend into the U.S. market with a partner like Bergquist is something I am both proud of and encouraged by. Their commitment to building a structured and long-term market approach reflects the same values that have guided EC POWER from the beginning.”
